Vulture (A Poem)

its out there
circling me
on a
lawnmower

around my home
she
goes and
goes
in
cirlcles

and I know
that
when
that
mowers
motor
is stopped
my
doorbell
(as loud as a fire
alarm)
will ring

and she knows
I am home

and
I know
that
she knows
I am home

my
car is parked
outside
as a clue
of
sorts

she will ring
I will sit
she will ring
again
I will calmy drink my
beer
in the
dark

and she will have
no choice
but to
walk
back
to her
pickup truck

without
the
rent again

and I will
rise...
turn on the
lights
and
just laugh
at how pathetic
my
life
has
become.

hell, its
either
giggle
or hang
the
noose
up
